Anxiety symptoms and education

Good morning/Afternoon what i wanted to do today for you guys is talk about all the main symptoms of anxiety, and educate you on how and why we feel like this! All these symptoms i have mentioned in a past blog but today i want to go into much more depth.

Anxiety is an extremely powerful condition – way more powerful than most people have ever realize. Even low levels of anxiety are constantly affecting the mind and the body in ways that even now doctors are only just beginning to understand. Living with this condition can be torture with it often feeling that nobody understand how servia your anxiety symptoms are.

  • Sweating

The reality is that nervous sweating is not only common – it’s normal. When you’re nervous, your body’s fight or flight system activates, sending a rush of hormone into your body that triggers an increase in heart rate and blood flow, among other things. Sweating is then also activated to help cool the body down from all of that energy, otherwise we would overheat and possibly damage our bodies.

That’s why sweating, in the general sense, is both normal and healthy. The problem is when it occurs too often or in undesirable situations.General nervousness and anxiousness may also cause sweating, even without an anxiety disorder. For example, many people find that before an important meeting or a final in high school or college that their hands start to sweat. That’s because they’re stressed, and their body is responding to the extra energy by cooling them down.

Here are a few tips you can implement into your daily structures to reduce sweating.

  1. antiperspirant spray frequent use of antiperspirant spray (not deodorant).
  2. buy some sweat absorbing socks.
  3. Avoid man-made fibres, such as nylon.
  4. There is such a thing as an armpit shield, this can protect clothes and save your dignity.
  • Shaking

Shaking is a result of an activated fight or flight system – an evolutionary tool that’s meant to keep you safe in times of danger. During intense anxiety, your body is flooded with adrenaline/epinephrine. Adrenaline is pure energy, and your body shakes as a result also causing other anxiety symptoms

Here are a few tips you can implement into your daily structures to reduce shaking.

  1. deep breathing ( This can slow your heart down and stop you hyperventilating )
  2. sprinting ( as we have discovered shaking from anxiety is down to edrenalin spriting will use this adrenalin up faster).
  3. screaming (this will also use up your adrenalin faster and will release stress)
  • Shortness of breath

A panic attack or anxiety can cause you to take rapid or deep breaths, known as hyperventilating. Concentrating on slow breathing or breathing through a paper bag should bring your breathing back to normal and lower all other anxiety symptoms.

  • Tightness of the lungs / chest

Tightness of the lungs / chest is also caused by the body’s fight or flight system. Your body is flooded with adrenalin and this is what causes that tightness feeling.

The only trick to stop this is to convince yourself you are not in no danger and no harm is going to come to you. (of course when suffering from anxiety sometimes you don’t even realize your body is going into fight or flight mode and in your mind there is no explanation to why you’re panicking)

  • heart polertations

Heart polertations are a direct course of anxiety, heart polertation are coursed from panic attacks or anxiety.

  1. Stop drinking caffeine (caffeine should be treated as the devil with anxiety sufferers).
  2. Drink cold water.
  3. Take a walk.
  • numbness of hands and feet

The reason is almost always hyperventilation. It occurs when you breathe out too much carbon dioxide. While your body does need oxygen and generally breathes out CO2, your body needs a healthy amount of CO2 as well. When you hyperventilate, those balances are thrown off. Most people think of hyperventilating as breathing to quick and altho this can sometimes be the case other times a person can be hyperventilating for some reasonable amount of time without noticing (commonly people with ansxity or anxiety symptoms).

  • Sleeping problems

The reason so many of us with anxiety can not sleep is simple. In short anxiety is a condition where people are prone to overthinking and when trying to get some shut eye, are brain tends to wake up and we start to worry about multiple things and before you know it everything has escalated and its 4 am.

  1. Natural remedies such as clams
  2. Remove all electrical equipment from bedroom
  3. Regular exercise

Having These kind of anxiety symptoms can make it impossible for a person to get enjoyment out of life, and leave a person feeling completely helpless unfortunately it seems anxiety is caused from previous stress in life and at this time there is no cure. There are however a number of different medications and therapy available for all anxiety sufferers.

Anxiety and food

Living with anxiety and our relationships with food

Hi, today i would just like to discuss and share the relationship between anxiety and food and the effects food can have on our anxiety symptoms. Generally speaking when living with anxiety people tended to go one way or the other in regards to their personal relationship with food. Comfort eating and not eating. First up i would like to discuss comfort eating and anxiety, When living with anxiety certain people find comfort eating a great “comfort” belive it or not, the natural endorphins eating can releases can almost instantly claim a person down and make them feel better about themselves and relieve anxiety symptoms. The relationships between food and a person suffering from anxiety can go much deeper than this with eating often feeling like an escape, unfortunately sometimes leading to further health problems such as obesity and heart problems. So what should i do if i find myself comfort eating? first things first i would like to reassure you, you are doing nothing wrong by comfort eating, in fact if you have tried this and find it helps you are already on the way to learning how to alter your life in small ways for a better future with anxiety. When comfort eating just to be careful not to exceed your daily kcals and avoid foods which can have a negative effect on your anxiety symptoms. Also another top tip would be to find some fruit and veg you really like and give you that “comfort feeling” rather than sweets and chocolate for obvious reasons.

Anxiety and not eating, many people find when suffering from anxiety eating can become an impossible task and quickly getting lowered as a task of importance. What generally happens to anxiety sufferers is that even the fort of eating can trigger extreme anxiety symptoms such as panic attacks ,heart palpitations ,tight chest ect leaving the person often feeling in a state helplessness also the same as comfort eating ,not eating and anxiety and their relations run a lot deeper. The problem with not eating is much worse than comfort especially for an anxiety sufferer as food can often raise are mood and lower anxiety symptoms. There are a number of ways you can help yourself if you find yourself in this situation of not eating. Half your portions ,now this is not a long term fix but its a starting point as for clear reason this will be a lot easier for you to get down and won’t be so daunting ones on the plate. Another grate technique is to drink smoothies and meal replacements shakes this can be brilliant for you both smoothies and meals replacement shakes will make you feel grate and fill your body with the vitamins it needs to not only function normally but to be able to control your anxiety symptoms. A quick heads up your first smoothies or shakes could leave you with anxiety symptoms because of all the vitamins in either smoothies or meal replacement shakes and that i have just told you this. Basically what will happen is these drinks will energise you and possible release adrenalin (because of the way our bodies work with anxiety) and this edrenalin will leave your body in that horrible “fight or flight” mode please do not panic this will only happen once or twice and some basic relaxation techniques such as beep breathing will having you feeling fine in no time.

To suffer like this can really take it out of you i would recommend anybody to seek professional help if you are not already. Trying to keep your life as normal as possible such as eating at scheduled times throughout the day will have a positive impact on the life of a anxiety suffer and possibly lower anxiety symptoms.

Living With Anxiety Symptoms

General Living and coping with anxiety and all its symptoms, The daily grind of living with anxiety can be very overwhelming especially to a person that is new to these kind of feelings, in the article i’m going to explain the general symptoms of living with anxiety so you can relate and also offer some tips and tricks.

Waking up is often the start to the grind for all of us anxiety sufferers ,feeling of worry ,tight chests ,feeling of laziness, the list could go on for ever but in one form or another we all suffer. So how can i help myself? waking up and having full blown anxiety symptoms is unfortunately rather common but there are a number of ways you can help yourself. Waking up half hour earlier and watching some telly. Now i know this may sound stupid at first ,but it can really help allowing our minds to focus on something as soon as we wake up drastically reduces the risks of overthinking all of the day’s worries and really increases your chances of missing out on the morning battle with anxiety symptoms.

Okay so now i’m up, what now? The first thing you should have in place is your medication prescribed by your doctor, whether you take this at night or mornings it really is a must have to aid you in your recovery. Breakfast if you already eat breakfast that’s great, however if you are not eating breakfast you should really consider it. The health benefits alone should be enough to persuade you but if not eating a healthy breakfast such as a smoothie ,omelet or even weetabix will have a massive positive impact on your day,the healthy vitamins and minerals will flow throughout your body boosting your mood massively and lowing these evil anxiety symptoms.

You must keep busy – This really is the most import tip you will learn throughout your anxiety battle, whilst suffering with anxiety or other mental health problems keeping busy is a lot easier said than done, with many of us often hiding in the house and being too fearful to leave because of our battle with anxiety symptoms. Simply moping about and frankly doing nothing may feel like your only option (hoping for the day you wake up and feel better) unfortunately guys this isn’t going to happen on its own, there are a number of ways you can keep yourself occupied to try and relieve your anxiety symptoms.

  • Working – Working is the most obvious chose it keeps us busy all day. It gives us a reason for life!! however with that being said going out to work every day is simply something so many of us battling with anxiety symptoms just can not do.

So what i propose is house work ,gardening ,working out at home ,painting anything of this nature, something simple you can do at home and focus all the evil anxiety energies on,this will bring back a sense of normality to yourself and will also play a key role in maintaining and keeping your confidence levels high.

WOW well done guys 🙂 your doing real good a part of winning your battle with anxiety will come from implementing structures such as this to your own life. Now you have gotten thru the day how can you help yourself at night? Egen there are multiple ways of doing this but my number one tip is stress relief you know when the kids have gone to bed, the washing up has been done. Many of us would use that as the cue to get off to bed! bad move doing this means your going to bed full of stress and how is our body going to respond to this in the morning? ANXIETY, so how can i lower my stress levels? One proven method that i have mentioned in one of my past blog posts is bath crystals, You can buy spealsh crystals design purely to relieve anxiety symptoms, another good de stress method is to practice deep breathing so meany people with anxiety breath shallow or with their chest when practicing deep breathing try breathing in and out using your stomach rather than your chest. listening to music is another great way to lower your stress.

When living with anxiety and anxiety symptoms its very important we are mentally strong, if you have only recently been diagnosed or these feeling are new to you, you may feel mentally week or something of this nature however this is not the case recent studies clearly state that anxiety is a mental illness and you can not hold your self responsible what so ever, so with that being said challenge yourself as much as possible in ways you feel comfortable such as exercise ,social interaction ect will do you wonders in the long run. not matter how uncomfortable this process may feel. Good luck guys 🙂 take care

Living With Anxiety Symptoms

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is generally feeling of worry ,nervousness or unease about something that has an uncertain outcome or even about nothing at all. Anxiety is normally split down into four main categories depend on the anxiety symptoms in a person.

  • Generalized Anxiety disorder: This disorder involves excessive, unrealistic worry and tension, even if there is little or nothing to provoke the anxiety.
  • Panic disorder People with this condition have feelings of terror that strike suddenly and repeatedly with no warning. Other symptoms of a panic attack include sweating, chest pain, palpitations (unusually strong or irregular heartbeats), and a feeling of choking, which may make the person feel like he or she is having a heart attack or “going crazy.”
  • Social anxiety disorder: Also called social phobia, social anxiety disorder, involves overwhelming worry and self-consciousness about everyday social situations. The worry often centers on a fear of being judged by others, or behaving in a way that might cause embarrassment or lead to ridicule.
  • Specific phobias  : A specific phobia is an intense fear of a specific object or situation, such as snakes, heights, or flying. The level of fear is usually inappropriate to the situation and may cause the person to avoid common, everyday situations.

A person can suffer can from any one of these group or every single one, the symptoms of anxiety and strength vary from person to person, Why a person person suffers from anxiety or any other mental illness is unknown :/ altho its seems to have become clear over recent years to scientist and the whole word that it is not down to a person’s weakness. Studies have shown that severe or long-lasting stress can change the way nerve cells within these circuits transmit information from one region of the brain to another. Other studies have shown that people with certain anxiety disorders have changes in certain brain structures that control memories linked with strong emotions. If anybody reading this is suffering from any of these anxiety symptoms or any mental health problem and is not receiving help, i would really recommend going to see your GP or ringing the mental health line asap.
