Anxiety symptoms and education
Good morning/Afternoon what i wanted to do today for you guys is talk about all the main symptoms of anxiety, and educate you on how and why we feel like this! All these symptoms i have mentioned in a past blog but today i want to go into much more depth.
Anxiety is an extremely powerful condition – way more powerful than most people have ever realize. Even low levels of anxiety are constantly affecting the mind and the body in ways that even now doctors are only just beginning to understand. Living with this condition can be torture with it often feeling that nobody understand how servia your anxiety symptoms are.
The reality is that nervous sweating is not only common – it’s normal. When you’re nervous, your body’s fight or flight system activates, sending a rush of hormone into your body that triggers an increase in heart rate and blood flow, among other things. Sweating is then also activated to help cool the body down from all of that energy, otherwise we would overheat and possibly damage our bodies.
That’s why sweating, in the general sense, is both normal and healthy. The problem is when it occurs too often or in undesirable situations.General nervousness and anxiousness may also cause sweating, even without an anxiety disorder. For example, many people find that before an important meeting or a final in high school or college that their hands start to sweat. That’s because they’re stressed, and their body is responding to the extra energy by cooling them down.
Here are a few tips you can implement into your daily structures to reduce sweating.
- antiperspirant spray frequent use of antiperspirant spray (not deodorant).
- buy some sweat absorbing socks.
- Avoid man-made fibres, such as nylon.
- There is such a thing as an armpit shield, this can protect clothes and save your dignity.
Shaking is a result of an activated fight or flight system – an evolutionary tool that’s meant to keep you safe in times of danger. During intense anxiety, your body is flooded with adrenaline/epinephrine. Adrenaline is pure energy, and your body shakes as a result also causing other anxiety symptoms
Here are a few tips you can implement into your daily structures to reduce shaking.
- deep breathing ( This can slow your heart down and stop you hyperventilating )
- sprinting ( as we have discovered shaking from anxiety is down to edrenalin spriting will use this adrenalin up faster).
- screaming (this will also use up your adrenalin faster and will release stress)
- Shortness of breath
A panic attack or anxiety can cause you to take rapid or deep breaths, known as hyperventilating. Concentrating on slow breathing or breathing through a paper bag should bring your breathing back to normal and lower all other anxiety symptoms.
- Tightness of the lungs / chest
Tightness of the lungs / chest is also caused by the body’s fight or flight system. Your body is flooded with adrenalin and this is what causes that tightness feeling.
The only trick to stop this is to convince yourself you are not in no danger and no harm is going to come to you. (of course when suffering from anxiety sometimes you don’t even realize your body is going into fight or flight mode and in your mind there is no explanation to why you’re panicking)
- heart polertations
Heart polertations are a direct course of anxiety, heart polertation are coursed from panic attacks or anxiety.
- Stop drinking caffeine (caffeine should be treated as the devil with anxiety sufferers).
- Drink cold water.
- Take a walk.
- numbness of hands and feet
The reason is almost always hyperventilation. It occurs when you breathe out too much carbon dioxide. While your body does need oxygen and generally breathes out CO2, your body needs a healthy amount of CO2 as well. When you hyperventilate, those balances are thrown off. Most people think of hyperventilating as breathing to quick and altho this can sometimes be the case other times a person can be hyperventilating for some reasonable amount of time without noticing (commonly people with ansxity or anxiety symptoms).
- Sleeping problems
The reason so many of us with anxiety can not sleep is simple. In short anxiety is a condition where people are prone to overthinking and when trying to get some shut eye, are brain tends to wake up and we start to worry about multiple things and before you know it everything has escalated and its 4 am.
- Natural remedies such as clams
- Remove all electrical equipment from bedroom
- Regular exercise
Having These kind of anxiety symptoms can make it impossible for a person to get enjoyment out of life, and leave a person feeling completely helpless unfortunately it seems anxiety is caused from previous stress in life and at this time there is no cure. There are however a number of different medications and therapy available for all anxiety sufferers.
